Following their dreams Banu Önes and Didem Arayıcı sisters, founded Mariposa in 2007 in a nostalgic building in Cihangir, a neighborhood where they have always enjoyed living. Mariposa has soon become the favorite of the neighborhood with its lively style and fairy atmosphere. Consequently the products reflecting the elegant, romantic and timeless ladies displayed in their family’s movie theater, took place in their collection.

In 2011 Mariposa was moved to Tesvikiye, at the heart of fashion center. Still, its source of inspiration was the feminine, stylish Hollywood stars.

In 2013 being inspired from their parents’ black and white wedding photographs, Mariposa Boutique’s designers created a bridal gown collection using high quality fabrics.

The timeless Mariposa Collection is created in their atelier in Istanbul with the traditional tailoring methods using the highest quality of silk, lace and embroidery.  New pieces, telling each a unique story, reflect Mariposa’s romantic and nostalgic genre.
